All was going well until the Chamirey race where I gave too much importance to one stat and forgot about another one that was a lot more important in the overall picture of the race, I know that after timming always look easier and kind of obvious but how alarm bells didn't ring is what got me really pissed off

Not a lot I could bet on today, I have a really hard time betting on the flat because it is without a doubt the type of racing I know less about, that might change with time and I'm putting in the effort to try and get some angle on it
Nothing to say about my loss today, the horse won easy and the market gave all the warnings, I didn't listen and the rest is history

I seriously need to stop backing because if I hadn't made any back bets I would be much ahead than what I am at the moment
I lost, so far, with my back bets -35.5 points and only won 12.46 points with them, giving me a negative final figure of -23.04 points, so it's pretty clear that the back bets aren't working
That last bet on "Follow The Flag" at 14.0 was clearly a bet to put me in the green for the day, I was really happy to see it drift to 23.0 but it nearly cost me a loss of 26 points, the horse was in the lead and was headed near the line, when one of these gambling bets goes wrong I'll be hit really hard

What a day!!! Where do I start?...First thing I changed for todays plan was the inclusion of lays above 20/1 (21.0) and sod's law came into effect not after 5, 10 or 25 bets...at the first lay bet above 21 I made...unbelievable!!! Sir Mattie won the race with a BSP (Betfair Starting Price) of 39.85 although when I first saw it he was at 29, I had 3 bets in this race, I don't know why I did it but it's definitely not a good thing to do
So, note to self...no more lay bets above 20/1
After the big lay loss everything went as smooth as possible although my last lay bet of the day was a gamble but "Teen Ager" is a horse that I've bet against for four times now, I know the stake and the odds were a bit off but it's just a belief I have since the first time I saw him run
I think the start of the day was terrible but all my planned and unplanned bets after that went great and I'm just happy with the relatively small loss for the day

Today the lack of study was pretty obvious, there is no substitute to those 3 to 4 hours of study in the morning
I'm happy that I managed to get myself out of the big hole I was in by the end of the afternoon
The last meeting at Kempton did the trick but I was taking too much risk both in stake size as in the selections I picked, this time things worked out ok but next time it may not work the same way

20 Jan - 8 out of 20 is a no, no! / 8 de 20 é impossível!
I love the horses but i've been making some pretty poor decisions and 8 lost bets in 20 just won't cut it, so maybe it's time to keep those bets to a minimum until i can figure out what i was doing right before this bad run came along, the €20 hit i had was due to a horse that fell in the last fence and those will happen from time to time but it's the five losing bets in a row that leaves me really unconfortable.
On the football i had a hit of €12 and that one was a bet i left open when i unexpectedly had to go out, i've done it too many times to know you should never leave bets open when you're not in front of the computer.
Eu adoro os cavalos mas ultimamente tenho feito umas decisões bastante fracas e 8 apostas perdidas em 20 não me vão levar a lado nenhum, talvez tenha chegado a altura de reduzir o número de apostas que faço nos cavalos até perceber onde estou a falhar, a aposta perdida de 20€ foi numa corrida em que o cavalo que eu apostei ia na frente destacado e caiu na última barreira, isto acontece de vez em quando por isso a única coisa que posso fazer é aceitar esse facto, agora, ter 5 apostas perdidas umas atrás das outras é que já não é um bom sinal.
No futebol tive uma aposta perdida de 12€ que foi o resultado de a ter deixado aberta quando tive de sair inesperadamente , já fiz isto demasiado vezes para saber que nunca o devo fazer, nunca se deve deixar apostas abertas quando não se está à frente do computador.

16 Jan - 1st clean sheet of the year / Primeira vez com zero apostas perdidas
A nice day and the first day without a single hit. What's obvious right away is that i didn't bet on one single horse race but i must admit that my changes in the football front are, so far, producing good results, so, like they say...go with the winners.
Um bom dia e a primeira vez que acabo o dia sem uma única aposta perdida.
